One of the first items I remember as a child was receiving a handmade crochet purple poncho. At the time I didn’t know how to crochet. But what I did know is that I loved that purple poncho with the pompom strings. As I learned to crochet I realized that special poncho was crocheted in the granny square style similar to some of these patterns featured here.

Crochet using Premier Yarns Spun Colors worsted-weight yarn and Size H8/5mm crochet hook. Fits woman’s sizes S/M (L/XL). Finished measurements: 48 (52)” across top edge x 26 (30)” long, measured flat.
