GAUGE
Place design on egg to check size. When last round is drawn up, it should fit snugly. If the design is slightly larger or smaller, adjustments may be made to the last round (except for #12) by changing the number of chains in each loop. However, if the design is much smaller or larger, try again with a different hook.

The photographed designs were made using bedspread weight cotton thread (size 10). 
 
STITCHES
TREBLE CROCHET (abbreviated tr) 
YO twice, insert hook in stitch or space indicated and pull up a loop (4 loops on hook), (YO and draw through 2 loops on hook) 3 times.
 
DOUBLE TREBLE CROCHET (abbreviated dtr) 
YO 3 times, insert hook in stitch or space indicated and pull up a loop (5 loops on hook), (YO and draw through 2 loops on hook) 4 times.
 
TRIPLE TREBLE CROCHET (abbreviated tr tr) 
YO 4 times, insert hook in stitch or space indicated and pull up a loop (6 loops on hook), (YO and draw through 2 loops on hook) 5 times.
 
MATERIALS 
Bedspread Weight Cotton Thread (size 10), 
1 ball (225 yards) will make all 12 designs  Steel crochet hook, size 8 (1.50 mm) 
Plastic eggs, approximately 23/4” tall 
Tapestry needle 
1/16” Ribbon (optional for hanger) 
1″ Plastic ring and glue (optional for stand)
 
STAND
Slip st in plastic ring, ch 1, work as many sc in ring as possible; join with slip st to first sc, finish off.
 
Glue to bottom of egg.
 
One
Ch 6, join with slip st to form a ring.
Rnd 1 (Right side): Ch 3, 11 dc in ring; join with slip st to top of beginning ch‑3: 12 sts
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same st, (ch 6, skip next 2 dc, sc in next dc) 3 times,  ch 3, skip last 2 dc, dc in first sc to form last loop: 4 loops.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same loop, (ch 8, sc in next loop) around, ch 4,  tr in first sc to form last loop.
Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in same loop, (ch 10, sc in next loop) around, ch 5,  dtr in first sc to form last loop.
Rnd 5: Ch 3, 5 dc in same loop, 12 dc in each of next 3 loops, 6 dc in first loop; join with slip st to top of beginning ch‑3: 48 sts.
Rnd 6: Ch 1, sc in same st, (ch 10, skip next 11 dc, sc in next dc) 3 times,  ch 5, skip last 11 dc, dtr in first sc to form last loop: 4 loops.
Rnds 7 and 8: Ch 1, sc in same loop, (ch 10, sc in next loop) around,  ch 5,  dtr in first sc to form last loop. Finish off leaving a long end.
Insert plastic egg. With tapestry needle, gather loops tightly and secure.

Ch 10, join with slip st to form a ring.
Rnd 1 (Right side): Ch 4, (dc in ring, ch 1) 9 times; join with slip St to third ch of beginning ch‑4: 10 ch‑1 sps.
Rnd 2: Slip st in first ch‑1 sp, ch 1, sc in same sp, (ch 5, sc in next ch‑1 sp) around,  ch 2, dc in first sc to form last loop: 10 loops.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same loop, 3 dc in next sc, sc in next loop, (ch 5, sc in next loop, 3 dc in next sc, sc in next loop) around,  ch 2, dc in first sc to form last loop: 5 loops.
Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in same loop,  ch 5, skip next dc, sc in next dc, 3 dc in next sc, (sc in next loop,  ch 5, skip next dc, sc in next dc, 3 dc in next sc) around; join with slip st to first sc.

Note: Loop a short piece of thread around any stitch to mark last round as right side.
Rnd 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc, now and throughout), dc in same st, 2 dc in each sc around; join with slip st to first dc: 16 dc.
Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in next dc, ch 4, (dc in next 4 dc, ch 4) 3 times, dc in last 2 dc; join with slip st to first dc: 4 ch‑4 sps.

Ch 10, join with slip st to form a ring.
Rnd 1 (Right side): Ch 3, 19 dc in ring; join with slip st to top of beginning ch‑3: 20 sts.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same st, (ch 10, skip next 4 dc, sc in next dc) 3 times, ch 5, skip last 4 dc, dtr in first sc to form last loop: 4 loops.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same loop, (ch 12, sc in next loop) around, ch 6, tr tr in first sc to form last loop.
Rnd 4: Ch 3, 6 dc in same loop, 14 dc in each of next 3 loops, 7 dc in first loop; join with slip st to top of beginning ch‑3: 56 sts.
Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc in same st, (ch 12, skip next 13 dc, sc in next dc) 3 times, ch 6, skip last 13 dc, tr tr in first sc to form last loop: 4 loops.

Rnd 2: Ch 5, [work BPdc around next dc (Fig. 1),  ch 2] around; join.
Rnd 3: Ch 6, (work BPdc around next BPdc, ch 3) around; join.
Rnd 4: Ch 7, (work BPtr around next BPdc, ch 3) around; join.
Note: Work Popcorn as follows: 5 Dc in ch indicated, drop loop from hook, insert hook in first dc of 5‑dc group, hook dropped loop and draw through.
