Honoring Our Veterans Crochet Patterns Afghans for Those Who Serve
One of my favorite crochet pattern books to look at and select a pattern from is the book from Leisure Arts called Honoring Our Veterans. It's a reminder that we always have to keep in mind and show appreciation to the men, women and families who serve in the armed forces. The crochet patterns in the book include throws and lap robes that you can make using American made yarn and crochet in patriotic or camouflage colors. You can crochet one for a loved one who served in the military or share it with a soldier serving overseas. The book does include a guide to community outreach programs that you can donate to. An afghan is alway appreciated especially in the winter and who is more deserving than someone who dedicated their life to our country. The patterns include: American Hero, American Inspiration, Badge of Courage, Camouflage Afghan, Desert Ripples Afghan, Dress Blues Afghan, Earth & Sky Afghan, Gratitude Afghan, Pink Camo Afghan, Platoon Camo Afghan, Stars & Stripes Afghan, and Urban Camo Afghan. A bonus design by Linda Daley is Independence Day, inspired by the American Flag.
