When I first started selling on eBay in 1998 it was just to get rid of a few items around the house. Then I discovered where to buy my products and the auction business took off. After a while I got tired of relisting my inventory and took the plunge into opening an ebay store. An eBay Store is an online selling platform tied to eBay, the World's Online Marketplace. You can build your own eBay Store, create custom categories to merchandise your Store, cross-sell and up-sell all of your items, allows you to use your own logo and HTML, and provide information about you, your Store and your policies.

Opening an and running an eBay Store is the same as running your own online Web site but eBay provides all the basic steps for you to get started. If you are already familiar with eBay than you are already half way there. Setting up your ebay store takes some time but once you become comfortable with it the more items you list the more you'll want to sell!
