Wedding Invitation

With just a few extra touches, you can turn a standard
print-your-own invitation into a specialty piece as stunning as your
event!
Supplies
Tools
- Paper trimmer
- Scissors
- Vellum tape
- Glue dots, small and large
- Stylus
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Circle template (e.g., edge of plate)
Directions
- Cut a 4-1/2" x 7-1/2" piece of light blue cardstock
to fit within the embossed borders of the invitation card. Cut a piece
of patterned vellum slightly smaller.
- Computer-generate wedding information on the vellum.
Layer the vellum and cardstock and attach to the invitation card at top
center with vellum tape.
- Cut leaves from brown satin ribbon and attach to top
center of card. Attach a vellum-punched flower and a purchased ribbon
flower using glue dots.
- To make the invitation cover, cut a piece of
cardstock 12" x 8-1/2".
- Center the invitation on the cardstock and score on
each side of the invitation with stylus. Remove the invitation and fold
cardstock along the score lines.
- Using a plate (or other round object), trace a faint
curved line on each flap.
- Cut with scissors, eliminating the faint pencil line
as you cut. Attach invitation card.
- Add date with rub-on numbers. Tie a wide ivory ribbon
around invitation.
