up for story-time in this nostalgic quilt that features heartwarming
scenes of Classic Pooh and his friends. Composed of Classic Pooh
Art-to-Sew fabric squares and coordinating fabric prints, this quilt is
sure to be a bedtime favorite.

Materials
- 1 "Pooh Honey Jar" Art-to-Sew fabric square
- 1 "Eeyore" Art-to-Sew fabric square
- 1 "Pooh & Friends" Art-to-Sew fabric square
- 1 "Tigger" Art-to-Sew fabric square
- 1 "Pooh & Piglet Stream" Art-to-Sew fabric square
- 1 Word Stripe fat quarter bundle
- 1 yd. Yellow Mini Plaid fabric
- 1/2 yd. Mint Dry Brush Texture fabric
- 1/4 yd. Blue Calico fabric
- 1-1/2 yds. Backing fabric
- Quilt Batting
Cutting Directions:
- Using Art-to-Sew (ATS) Squares cut a 10-1/2" square.
- Using Word Stripe fabric from the fat quarter bundle,
cut four 7" squares; crosscut each square once to make eight triangles;
repeat with each of the other three fabrics in the fat quarter bundle
(Blue Dry Brush Texture, Pooh Scribbles, Mint Calico).
- Using Yellow Mini Plaid fabric cut:
Ten 1-1/2" x 10-1/2" strips
Ten 1-1/2" x 12-1/2" strips
Two 3-1/2" x 42-1/2" strips
Five 1-1/2" x 44" strips
- Using Mint Dry Brush Texture fabric, cut:
Two 3-1/2" x 36-1/2" strips
Two 3-1/2" x 42-1/2" strips
- Using Blue Calico fabric, cut two 1-1/2" x 42-1/2"
strips.
Directions:
- Sew a 1-1/2" x 10-1/2" Mini Plaid strip to the top
and bottom edges of an ATS square; press. Sew a 1-1/2" x 12-1/2" Mini
Plaid strip to either side of the ATS square to create a 12-1/2" square
quilt block; press. Repeat for each ATS quilt block.
- Sew a Word Stripe triangle to a Blue Dry Brush
Texture triangle to form a 6-1/2" square; press. Repeat to create three
more 6-1/2" squares. Arrange these four squares so that the fabric
patterns alternate and create a pinwheel design. Sew the four squares
together to create a 12-1/2" quilt block; press. Repeat to make one more
12-1/2" quilt block.
- Sew a Pooh Scribble triangle to a Mint Calico
triangle to form a 6-1/2" square; press. Repeat to create three more
6-1/2" squares. Arrange these four squares so that the fabric patterns
alternate and create a pinwheel design. Sew the four squares together to
create a 12-1/2" quilt block; press. Repeat to make one more 12-1/2”
quilt block.
- Arrange quilt blocks into three horizontal rows. For
Rows 1 and 3, sew an ATS block to either side of a Word Stripe block;
press. For Row 2, sew a Pooh Scribble block to either side of an ATS
block; press. Sew rows together to form the 36-1/2" quilt top center;
press.
- Sew a 3-1/2" x 36-1/2" Mint Dry Brush Texture strip
to the top and bottom edges of the quilt top center; press. Sew a 3-1/2"
x 42-1/2" Mint Dry Brush Texture strip to either side of the quilt top
center to create a 42-1/2" quilt top; press.
- Sew a 1-1/2" x 42-1/2" Blue Calico strip to the top
and bottom of the quilt top; press.
- Sew a 3-1/2" x 42-1/2" Yellow Mini Plaid strip to the
top and bottom of the quilt top; press.
- Place the quilt backing fabric wrong side up on a
smooth, flat surface. Center the batting on top of the backing. Center
the quilt top right side up on top of the batting. Baste layers
together; quilt as desired. Trim away excess batting and backing fabric.
- For binding, sew five 1-1/2" x 44" Yellow Mini Plaid
fabric strips together at ends to make one continuous strip; press seam
allowances open. Press under 1/4" along one long raw edge of strip.
Press under 1/2" along one short raw end of strip. Beginning at folded
end, stitch remaining long raw edge of strip to quilt top edge, right
sides together, folding strip over at corners to miter. Overlap ends
1/2". Turn the binding strip to the back of the quilt, pin and
slipstitch in place for a smooth finish.
