Use up Your Scrap Yarn and Crochet this Babette Blanket Pattern

If you have an extra stash of leftover yarn from existing crochet projects a great way to use them up is to crochet a scrap afghan.  One of the best projects that looks beautiful when complete is the Babette Blanket. The pattern is easy and you can join as you go while crocheting. If makes a beautiful gift especially if you are using multiple colors and not sure what colors the person you are making it for will like.  A colorful blanket or afghan can be used anywhere in home decor if you have solid materials in the room.  It also makes a great cover up to keep warm on cold nights. The pattern has a sort of retro vintage feel to it. Inspired by the work of designers Kaffe Fassett and Liza Prior Lucy, this blanket offers a journey in color for the crocheter. The modules are all based on the same motif pattern; they vary only in the number of rounds worked. If you want to download the pattern or enlarge the photo to create  one yourself just
